Senior Director, Product Design - Platform Lead

We're seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Director, Product Design - Platform Lead to join our Treasury Services and Product Design team. This role is located in New York, NY - HYBRID.
In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
• Identify end user needs and behaviors through research (observation, interviews, surveys, analytics, user testing) and advocating for customer-focused solutions with stakeholders
• Define requirements for a user experience that helps achieve business results while creating a desirable and effective solution for end users.
• Lead design teams to create and deliver high quality digital experiences and artifacts (ex: user flows, wireframes, high fidelity screens, prototypes, design systems).
• Define the experience strategy facilitating work sessions with product teams and users to define key design goals and requirements.
• Auditing the competitive and correlative landscape for inspiration as well as design ideas that can be utilized in the bank design solutions.
• Evangelize user centricity and modem design process within the broader organization.
• Produce high quality assets and thoughtful systems that impact end user satisfaction.
• Create prototypes that demonstrate the intended end user experience and key interactions for testing and sales opportunities.
• Conduct user research to inform, iterate, and validate the product design, utilizing methods such as field observations, interviews, contextual inquiries, surveys, remote usability testing, A/B testing, etc.
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Technology leaders to ensure successful development, release, and launch of world class product in all phases of the development lifecycle, including ideation and definition, user research, feature team scoping/planning, estimating effort, design, post launch evaluation and stakeholder communication.
• Monitor and improve the efficacy of design in their own platform and the practice in general.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
• Bachelor's degree in psychology, user experience, design, human computer interaction or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
• Advanced degree or MBA preferred.
• 15+ years of related experience required.
• Experience in the securities or financial services industry.
• Proven experience leading teams to deliver high quality design in an agile environment.
• Able to design and guide the design of distinctive, intuitive experiences (ex: user flows, wireframes, high fidelity screens, prototypes, design systems).
• Using, managing and creating component-based design systems that can be applied at scale.
• Expert command of industry-standard design and research tools (Figma, Miro, Qualtrics, Maze).
• Experience planning, conducting and synthesizing user research, user testing and behavioral data analysis for insights.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $136,500 and $300,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
